That was about the time Radio Shack came out with the Modle 1 Selling for $ 
600.  Wish I could recall when I put together my first computer out of 
surplus boards and parts.  Wasn't really that much compuer but I did program 
it up to do the ASCII to Baudot conversion so I could use it on Rtty.
I know it was a few years after that.  Not too many years after that I paid 
more for the disc drives to go in a Modle 3 than many computers cost now.
