Hello,
This is my first post so not sure if this will work right. I am responding to a message (appended after my message below), that was posted about 5 years ago. I hope this will be of interest to someone. I hope Dave/CommCenter-1 is still around?

In 1977-78 I acquired and restored an AN/FGC-25 teletype set. This past year I pulled it out of storage and restored it to operation. I recently posted these demonstration videos;

Subject: Save a Kleinschmidt AN/FGC-25X (ASR teletype)
All:

Some new contact info at Tobyhanna Army Depot, if anyone is
still interested. I had (earlier) queried them about possibly obtaining
a Kleinschmidt AN/FGC-25X teletype machine, since they had recently
unloaded about 40 tons of them for destruction. I was seeking one
for my den as a souvenir or keep sake (i.e. room decoration) if the
price was affordable and if any were still available.

My request has not yet been acted upon but they did send me a survey(!).
There is other contact info in the email in case anyon else wants to
bug them for a machine (or two) before they are all gone. If you will
recall, about 40 tons of new (and used) 25Xs were slated for disposition
to DoD civilian auctioneers (scrappers).

As a matter of interest, few 25Xs have been preserved and even fewer
are in the hands of collectors, compared to Model 28s, 15s, 33s, etc.

Good luck,

Dave
