[GreenKeys] Black tape

Interesting to see all the comments stirred up by my black tape query.
(Actually, the "Black" side of a comm center is the secured side - after
the signal has been encrypted. The Red side is the clear text - before
encryption. So Red tape would be the real sensitive stuff!)

Apparently the black tape probably was used with the Teletype Corp M42
and/or NC. (I'm not very familiar with those new machines.)

Gil - 7/8" tape was used in all the Kleinschmidt Laboratories Inc. 5-bit
military machines (TT-76, AN/FGC-25, etc). They printed on the wide
margin of the tape. But all the KLI tape readers could also handle the
narrower 11/16" tape and some of the later reperfs also.

Doug - Thanks for your info on the Florida voting problems! Very
interesting reading - I hope some people leaned something from that
exercise!!

Have fun,

Duncan
