Caig Laboratories, makers of the famous DeOxit, makes Cait RBR rubber renewing liquid.  It apparently works very well.

I have heard a report that once you apply the stuff, the rubber sort of swells up into a soft somewhat gooey mess that is very disheartening.  But no worries.  Soon, the solvents and other magic gets itself stated among the molecules of the rubber and it all returns to a like new state.  So be a bit patient.
