It's the best there is, bar none.
An independent survey tested several products.

1. Automatic Transmission fluid + Acetone.
2. Kroil
3. PB Blaster.
4. Liquid Wrench.
5. WD-40

Number 1. is not available on the market. Strictly do it yourself.
Kroil wasn't just a little bit better, it was a LOT better.
The only reason WD-40 was on the list was to provide  base line for
worthless.

I've been using Kroil for the past 15 years now.
WD-40 works great for cleaning price tag adhesive off of stuff.
