There  are several Black Box CAP Protocol Converters 
on  Ebay. These gadgets are RS232 in and out and can convert 
speeds,  baud rates, etc. Very flexible and programmed 
with  DIP switches. I have had one for years and it can do 
BAUDOT,  ASCII, EBCDC, 5,6,7 and 8 level, etc. - 45.45 
to  19,200 baud with a lot of up/down buffering.  
These  are not my listings so I cannot vouch for these things 
being  in working order.
