Hi Tony,
I have a different answer for you about 40M RTTY. I always look around 7040 because that is where a lot of the EU stations are allowed to operate.
IARU Region 1 (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Northern Asia) is permitted to operate using RTTY from 7040-7050.
IARU Region 2 (The Americas - except Canada and USA) is permitted to operate using RTTY from 7040-7050
IARU Region 3 (Asia-Pacific) is allowed to operate using RTTY from 7025to 7030.
Canada appears to use 7035 -7040 and 7080 - 7125
USA ( by license class): General and Advanced - 7025 - 7125, Extra 7000-7125
However, I am not advocating using RTTY below 7035. There is a LOT of good DX on 40M RTTY, especially if you are an early riser. If you are interested is long distance contacts, check it out. For example, asI write this, IT9PZM is operating at 7042.5 and 20 over S9.

I was just on 40 meters, playing around on 7.075MHz.A guy contacted me and said that the RTTY frequency wasnow up around 7.080 and up.Can anyone confirm the frequency (place) to hang outon if you want to make a RTTY contact?I'm talking 'bout 45.45 Baud ITA#2 stuff. :-)
