Nick,

Thanks for the memories.  I watched your video: 
http://www.navy-radio.com/tty/28rt.htm   and was taken back to 1967/68 
when I worked for Pacific Telephone & Telegraph at the 82B1 switching 
center in San Diego.  I worked on these 28RT's and the incoming cabinets 
were they were housed.  A big cross bar switch in the cabinet sent the 
message across the room to the correct outgoing cabinet at 200WPM what a 
hoot to see them when they caught up with the incoming signal and just 
chugged along one letter at a time.  That was a life time ago.
