Dave,

I will look to see if I have one that is good.  I will want it back eventually.  More tomorrow.

If someone can send me an example of a "good" part, I can have my CAD guy draw it up at least and share the Solidworks file with the group.

The first step to building a tool is to model the original part.

Ken,

Thanks for looking.  It would be nice to have some of the rubber grommets.  Unfortunately, its only folks who restore 32/33 that notice them being slightly elongated.  That is, unless an owner has problems due to a bad one.  Not like the print hammers that are front and center without taking the cover off.

So far, I have been fortunate to get what I need off old printers that are junkers.  The left one doesnt get the stress that the one closest to the distributor gets.

To manufacture a grommet, we need a new one to use as a pattern; if we can find a new one.

I know Dave has a hefty sum invested in the mold for the rubber hammers and that has been good for us all.

Hi all!

Note for Wayne...Sorry old boy, no luck on the M32/33
trip shaft grommets and nylon inserts...

I am wondering if there mite be enuf interest in having them
manufactured as in the case of the print heads...When I
think about it, the material used in these grommets is very
similar to the rubber (?) in the print heads...

Elongation and softening of these grommets is very
troublesome...I am sure there are many 32/33's out there
in need of them...

I looked thru all my "Normal" rubber grommets, but nothing
close that wud work...

Perhaps we cud have some chatter on this issue...

Tks & cheers!
