Hi Wayne - I've tried several sizes of tubing without luck so far - there is very little clearance between the side of the hammer lever and the tape feed sprocket so any tubing fat enough to strike the tape properly is too fat to clear the sprocket.
I'll keep experimenting, shaving the sides of the tubing, etc.

Kenneth and GKR's,
I am afraid the LF upstop you are referring to is unavailable. The early version (smaller part) you refer to wasnt used too long before it was replaced by the larger one. Now we use an all metal one. Even if you could find what you want, it cant be removed from the metal piece. Also I dont think it would last too long if used as a print hammer.
Weighing in on this problem, have any of you 28 guys tried to use a small piece of heat shrink or vinyl tubing as a sub?

Subject: [GreenKeys] LF Upstop block M32/33...
Hi all...
Referring to my previous msg re: the M32/33 LF upstop block as a possible
replacement for the M28LPR print hammer head...
I can't. provide a part number for this, as my parts manuals are way out of date,
I have Bulletin 1184-B, and 1210-B, (1971 & 1972) and it is in neither of them...
Perhaps our good friend and M32/33 man, Wayne, cud weigh in on this issue...
The plastic/nylon block was used in middle production years, and is the "Small"
variety...
In later/last production models, the block is considerably larger and is used with
the improved yield spring LF linkage & upstop bracket...
Both blocks have a small rectangular hole to fit on the bracket...I believe the
smaller one mite work...Like the original M28LPR print hammer, it is quite narrow,
with the mounting hole being off-set...
Hope we can use this idea...
Note to Nick...Hope this answers your question...
Cheers!
