Hi all...

Been checking the "Chatter" lately re: the M28 typing
reperf printing hammers...

Don't. know if this wud work, or if the part wud fit or not
but mite be worth checking out...

On the Model 32/33 typing unit, there is a "Middle of
production run" change in the LF upstop bracket ass'y...

In the earlier design, it was only a metal upstop bracket
that stopped the upward travel of the LF linkage...

Somewhere in mid production, there was a change to the
upstop ass'y...It now had a small plastic/nylon block,
which had a small rectangular opening which fit on a
fluted "ear" on the bracket...This is not to be confused with
another change in later production, which involved a larger
block which was pressed onto the upstop bracket...It too
had a small rectangular opening...

It is possible the smaller block mite fit on the M28
print hammer arm...Its' worth checking out, as this part
is pbly easily obtained...Perhaps our good friend Wayne
cud comment on this idea...

Hope this helps...

Cheers!
