[GreenKeys] Model 28 parts and database query

That would be fine. The 69 list is a good start I have some later ones if that would be useful.

Any software that can take the PDFs of the parts section of the tech manuals and create text.

We can always add fields to a database with more descriptors

In my old manual 3x5 card index system I used to use. I had a rubber stamped block to check what machine type the part was used in.

Ideally the end result could be an online searchable database that we all could post availabilities to from our individual parts data bases

I'm in the process of doing an OCR on the 1969 parts price list pdf. But it just has one-word descriptions of the part number (lever, pawl, roller, bracket, etc.) - are you looking for something more informative? is there such a thing?

If you can find a text file, let me know and I will create an online
database query tool as I have an interest in teletypes

Doug:
Teletype tools and parts certainly are of interest.

To All: Does anyone have a machine readable (say OCR output) of the
Teletype parts price lists. I have lots of parts I need to sort and
database. It would be a lot easier if I could start with a file I could read
line item by line item, say a text file of a parts price list.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Model 28 parts

Hi all
New to the list and not sure of the protocol. Ex Coast guard ET from the
early model 40 days but dad was career Air Force tech/ government employee
(37 years). Dad passed on Veterans Day and I'm trying to help mom sort
through his "accumulations". So far I've come across a complete model 28
print head, several rolls of vintage yellow paper, what looks to be several
sets of alignment tools, manuals and bag after bag of NOS parts all bagged
with their part number cards with military stock numbers including gears,
felts, rollers metal parts....etc. enough spares to keep someone running for
decades it seems.
Is this of any value or is it give away stuff. I've set it all aside for
my next trip ...just unloaded his tube collection after I inventoried
several boxes except for a few larger specimens anyway, I would appreciate
any feedback. Stellar job with this mailing list I've enjoyed following the
threads.

Thanks
Doug
