The 1962 schematic is just a reprint of the 1952 schematic, and contains
the same error.  At the 7B7 tube, the 2.2 meg and 10K-2W resistors are
interchanged.  10K should be the screen grid resistor, and 2.2 meg should
be the first grid resistor.  Then as I mentioned W6ZBV replaced the 6V6
and millisec relay with a 2050 thyratron.

W6ZBV was a smart guy but I don't consider this a particularly smart
design - a chain of one-shots.  One could have used a multivibrator at
the bit rate, followed by a thyratron ring counter or a hard-tube
binary counter to eliminate all the adjustments.
