[GreenKeys] AN/FGC-80 & SCM 311

I have the RO model.   I picked it up about 1980 from a guy that gave me
a truck load of stuff.   I pulled it out of storage a couple years ago
and cleaned it up (mouse nest) to see what I could do with it.  At the
time I wasn't able to find a manual so I traced out the boards and found
6 data lines and the strobe on the interface but wasn't able to make it
print.    After going through my storage I found what looks like a
serial interface with a UART chip that I believe goes with this printer.
I don't know if the previous owner ever got it working, but now that I
have the service manual I think I'll give it a try.   Any advice would
be appreciated.

ran into this by accident.  Does anyone remember it? 
 
I forgot SCM made the latter "Klienschmidt"
I worked on several of these in a "sensitive" Comm station in the late
70's
