Correct!

It is a WiFi Module that easily provides a UART. Serial over WiFi you 
could call it :)
The point is that if that UART could be set to lets say 50 bauds, 5 
bits, I could have as many of these cheap units as I wish connected to 
loops and TTYs, controlled from a single HeavyMetal window, chatting 
between each other.
Much better than today, when the cheapest option is a Raspberry Pi per 
each TTY.
