The PDP-8/E isn't all that heavy.  I've picked one up.  Of course, if you rack-mount it and add peripherals, that's another matter.  The classic -8 is more like 400 pounds, don't even try lifting.

Now, try carrying a Flexowriter up and down stairs.  I recommend doing it with two people.  The Flexowriter I am working on restoring has an advertised shipping weight of 132 pounds.
