How the great have fallen!
When I was working for Bell Labs (Whippany, NJ) around 1990, I remember
Teletype had a Credit Union office in Naperville. One of the guys
who worked for me was in Naperville and I attended meetings there
on occasion (5E cellular switch development was done there). I
think that's when I visited Skokie and the "Teletype" water tower
was still there.

It was filed for in 1988 and was assigned to AT&T Bell Laboratories.
So I guess that was after what was left of Teletype had gone to Naperville.
And what was left of Bell Labs was still part of AT&T, before the spinoff of
Lucent in 1996.
