Here we go folks...
The HP 2116 and other 2000 series mini computer sued some of this
stuff.

3.2.5 Complementary Transistor Logic A form of current logic where the
transistors are prevented to go into saturation by the use of the
complementary transistor

Hey Ed:
I just meant that early ICs were sometimes resistor-transistor-logic (RTL)
or diode-transistor-logic (DTL), both of which kinda pre-dated
transistor-transistor-logic (TTL). Lots of house-numbered parts for those families.
I'm not sure what CTL is -- did you mean CML (current-mode-logic) as in
ECL or MECL? That was pretty fast stuff for its day.
TTL is still darned handy. Not the antique power-hungry chips of course,
but the threshold voltages, as in a 5V micro with TTL-compatible inputs
that can be driven with 3.3V CMOS logic since VIH is only 2.0V. Or, more
commonly, a 3.3V micro that needs to output a 5V signal -- run it through a
74AHCTxx powered by 5V.

Or DTL, or RTL?

Wow. I can't find a single DIP package in any of those photos that is
not a custom house numbered part. Moto, Fairchild, NS, TI ... all of
the players but every one is house numbered.
I assume that's all 7400-series TTL?
Amazing.
