[GreenKeys] siemens T1000 power supply

Dear All,

I am trying to restore a Siemens TGN4 (UK Naval version of commercial
T1000, a cousin of the German Bundeswehr T1000z) which seems to have a
failed power supply.

The teleprinter does nothing on power-up, except to emit a click every 4
seconds. It was OK 5 years ago.

 From the manual (see previous posting) this is the operation of a relay
that shorts the inrush current limiting resistor after power-up.

When the psu detects abnormal load conditions, it goes inactive and
retries every 4 seconds.

Any suggestions as to which components to check first would be very
welcome.
