yeah, the little Acer notebook is cute and lightweight and runs Linux just
fine.  Not a fast machine by any means, and perhaps the version of Windows
in it is crippled to induce you to buy a better one.  I haven't made any
use of the camera.  I had to buy a USB DVD drive to load on Linux, but
it can boot from the USB drive OK (unlike the old Dell C610s).  Guess I
didn't have to - could have installed from a USB stick.

But there are times this computer stuff gets so crazy that I'm ready to go
back to vacuum tubes and punched paper tape.
