Around here they have the IBOC digital "HD Radio" stuff on many of the
FM carriers.  Except, I think they put all the newbie IT people in charge
of operating it because 90% of the time, you tune to one of these channels
and there is just dead air.  I've experienced this for days at a time,
no audio at all.   A few times I've called the station or emailed and they
always reply "oh ya, we had to reboot it. Thanks for letting us know".

So, they can't be too serious about the income stream from it if they
don't care that it goes dead for days at a time and some random Joe
(or Chris) ham radio guy has to remind them to fix it.

This is the Minneapolis / St. Paul market too so we like to think we're
not just nobodies :-)
