Actually, the ethernet used on the Alto was a 3 Mbit system with
totally different framing (headers et al) than what we now know as
10base{whatever}.  Obviously the beginnings of something big though.

There was just a discussion on the ClassicComputing mailing list in the
last couple days about building bridges/gateways between that network and
"modern" stuff so that they can run some Alto(s) from a machine like a
DEC20 ;-)
