Hello again!

Thanks for all the replies I received to my post "Anyone in OK doing this?".

I am a complete newbster to all things TTY, but am familiar with RTTY as a
ham. There is one more thing I would ask all of you at Greenkeys:

"If you were to suggest a machine to start with as a restoration project
for a beginner, what would it be?"

My guess would probably be an "RO", but I'm open to advice and suggestions.
I'd like to restore a machine for my own pleasure, and possibly be able to
use it as a resource for others, such as setting it up and operating it as
a technology from another time. I restore Hammond tonewheel organs, and
build things for my use as a ham, so I am not entirely without some degree
of skill, and I have plenty of patience to see something to a nicely
restored condition.

Also, I have a small shop to do all this in, and that makes my wife happy.
Nothing like restoring something in the den to make for the Mrs. being
irritated. Did that with my '83 Kawasaki KZ1100 A-3. She almost didn't
forgive me. I had to buy her the minivan she wanted. In spite of it all she
supports my tinkering. She says "at least it keeps me out of the bars and
out of trouble"...

Thanks again for the replies. I hope to be here for awhile.

Mark
