yes  but the  problem is  getting the     usb  port   to  go  to  60 wpm
fro what I understand?  Ed#

I bought an RS232 port for  my Pi for about $6
You can find them on eBay, for example:

I added an extender to the GPIO  header to raise the board a bit,
and I was then able to add a nylon  mounting screw and standoff
to my Raspberry case to give the DB9 plug a  very firm footing.
