This is a 14 typing reperf. It appears that the tape feed out shoot or tray is missing. 48 years ago, at Andersen AFB, Guam, these were set up as part of a relay station for WX. There was a bank of 3 cabinets each cabinet had 8 roll out shelves, each with a typing reperforator. Opposite the reperfs was banks of TDs for relaying traffic. It worked similar to the Navy torn tape relay.... though they had better gear than the AF. All the newbies in the TTY shop were given the opportunity to learn all about these machines.

Alf,

I believe its a model 14 typing reperforater (SP?). Its missing some parts in the tape punching area I think and also missing the blank tape holder.

It could be a 2B printer but I dont think so.

Its only the typing unit, no base, keyboard, electronics or cover.

I will forward to Greenkeys to see what the guys say. It will take a bit to get the photo approved.

I worked on the old stuff in my early days at WU but not much as the 32, 33, 28 and 35 were starting to be the norm.

Best regards,

Wayne

Hello Wayne,
Please can you identify what model teletype this piece is a part.
Its very dusty & dirty and somewhat incomplete but I feel sure you will recognise it.
Many thanks in advance.

Best wishes,
Alf
