Sorry I didnt weigh in on this in last post.  

Since the 32 and 33 run with oil circulating and misting inside the machine I would suggest just a little oil or maybe vaseline to help install the hammer.  Maybe just a little wetting with water.  

Try it dry first and use patience.  They dont go on as easily as the old rubber ones did but the issue of cleaning out the metal groove was not a problem in earlier days.
