Last month, which moving things around in the shack to make storage room
for an I-199 dynamotor tester, I stumbled across a Navy packaged M28 KSR/RO
3-speed gear shift conversion kit that had been MIA since probably the mid
1970's. Joe, N0AYZ, sent it to me probably in 1973, the year that I moved to
Houston. When I finally had time to install it in a TT-47/UG I once had, I
couldn't find it. Then probably 20 years ago, I either sold or traded the
TT-47. So I have no need for it.

Last week, also totally by chance, I found the copy of the NAVSHIPS
installation instructions, with inventory list. So I checked the parts against
what was in the box. Although most of the khaki colored envelopes are intact,
there were a few minor parts missing, and two parts present that aren't on
the list.

Kit is Teletype 195415 Navy MK-810/UG. Instructions say that it fits
TT-47/UG (KSR) and TT-69/UG (RO).

Missing:
2 out of 4 Washer, Flat, 34432
5 Nut 125009

Present but not on the list were:

3 Nut 112626
1 Bracket (flat plate) 304229

If anyone has a way to look up the flat washer and the first nut and tell
me what size they are (description), I would appreciate it. And the
application for the other two, or at least the bracket, might help.

Also, if anyone has a use for the kit, it is available. I don't know what
a fair price would be as it's out of my usual line as far as selling
hardware (radios) goes. So I'll just say Best Offer plus shipping. A reprint of
the instructions will be included.

Note that there are some caveats listed in the instructions. The kit is
not compatible with an LD mounted on the keyboard (I don't know what an LD
is), the 164848 kit to provide parallel output contacts, the 163146 kit to
provide universal contact on a printer, or a wall mounted printer.. And if
either the 152916 or 154145 local reverse line feed kit is installed, it says
two parts (not included in the kit) have to be ordered. But it doesn't give
the part numbers. Which is why I wanted to know what the bracket went to.
