The Black Box units are usually only good for 30VDC (for
32, 33 or 35 TTY's. The ones that can do HV loops are very rare.

This is a frequently-asked-question, no?
I've been meaning to acquire one for my Model 28 KSR and ASR-33.
I would think you couldn't go wrong with the Black Box ones. I see one on
eBay now for $65 BIN and are still for sale new at $270.
It can be config'd to 20-, 30- and 60 mA, and has optical isolation on
receive. It's RS-232. I'd also need a good USB to RS-232 adapter that
could handle the necessary low speeds and 5 bits.
I tried to look on 45baud.net for a project previously mentioned here but it
looks like it's suffering PHP errors.
I guess this means I need to get a Model 15 at some point, just to go back
another twenty years.
