I did the opposite. I acquired a Model 32, and a HAL ST-6000.
Great combination, except....the machine was geared for 66 WPM.
I had a Commodore C-64, so I wrote the software in Basic to convert
from Baudot to ASCII back and forth, including sending the LTRS and
FIGS code and used the C-64 with the HAL-6000 and spent many an
hour on 20 meters with it.
