TT-47/UG has a synchronous motor, TT-48/UG has a governed motor

TT-47/UG is a a standard US Navy item -
NObsr-xxx is the Bureau of Ships contract number
xxxx:CTT is the serial number
CTT is the USN manufacturer code for Teletype Corp

TT-47/UG - Model 28 Keyboard Send-Receive Page Printer Set. Consists of
floor cabinet, friction feed typing unit, electrical service unit,
keyboard, synchronous motor and gears for 45.5 baud. 7.42 unit code, 60 Hz,
115VAC. Includes communication symbol arrangement and selective calling
feature.
