Hi all...
Many tks for the feedback chatter on the Teletype TT- 232(?)...I may have
made
a mistake, whereas the model type shud be TT-242.
Gerry sent me a cuple of great pictures, and have spent some time looking
them over, to get an understanding of how it "Ticked".
Someone had mentioned, Don had a couple of these units, am wondering
if he ever had them running... Does anyone know if Teletype Corp'n produced
a bulletin, for this machine, i.e. description and operation and parts, and
if there is a source to look
or download it from a scan?
As the machine appears to be a "Hybrid" version of technologies used in M28
and 32/33
machines, the earliest M32 Bulletins, were dated 1962, and again am
wondering if the
32/33 final design came before or after the TT_242? Its a case of which
came first, "The
chicken, or the egg?"
>From what I can see from the pictures, the TT-242, seems still like a much
more expensive
machine to produce than the M32/33 line...
What say you all?
Tks for listening, I really enjoy all the posts...It makes my day a betr
one!
Cheers!
