Pete,

I have a second keyboard for my M38 that uses the same keytops and
levers. Let me know which ones you need to replace.
Remember to always bolt the keyboard frame to something before
removing the cover... else everything falls apart..!

It has been a long day for me so just a few quick pictures and
observations

Overall they did a pretty good job of packing for a LTL shipment.
Total weight was 305 Lbs.

It was to be scrapped if I had not worked out an acceptable offer.
These guys do not keep stuff around long, they can't. I could not let
it become breakage.

Here's what I see wrong so far

- Lots of oil coating all over, good no rust etc.

- As known the noise deadening foam is stuck to everything, going to
be a real fun job to get cleaned up. The stuff is really nasty.

- There are parts bent and missing from the left side ribbon assembly
Parts can be substituted and or temp parts fabricated. Blah ....

- There is a knurled fastener and maybe the nut assembly missing from
the position bar. Minor.

- Two key caps are starting to split. Minor again.

- the hinges for the top have parts missing and the top needs some
'body' work to get it to align back up. Again I'll say minor but at
some point the duct tape has to go !

- The thing that could be major is I found a plastic part sitting in
the remains of the foam bits on the left side of the printer base.

That's it for now, time to hit the sack
