Hallicrafters had a big long-running contract for electronic counter
measures equipment, called QRC for Quick Reaction Capability.

On one of my trips to the Chicago area I stayed in a motel which was
just down the street from a Northrop-Grumman facility.  I wondered
why it was so far from an airport.  Someone told me that was the former
Hallicrafters facility, after they had been bought by Northrop-Grumman
and moved to the suburbs.
