Hi Nick,
You have always been very kind to me and I appreciate your support
very much. I have not been able to figure out what this tape printer
started life as, and why it was cobbled to a 28 RO base. One thing
it is good for is printing on standard 11/16 inch wide tape instead of
the very rare 3/8" tape. So this would make a nice display at some
kind of show like either Doctors Nagle or DeWitt show off things to
interested young and old folks. I will post a couple of photographs
of this mystery tape printer via my NADCOMM list and folks can see
it for what it is. If someone would like to use this machine for a
purpose
similar to what I have indicated, I will send it to them for the cost of
shipping. This would also do something else, It would make my
wife very happy to see more Teletype equipment going away.
If this works for someone, I might be interested in your latest puppy
as it is SMALL and that usually only comes with one or two days of
my XYL not speaking to me.
Getting old and freezing here in mother natures lovely northern
Illinois. Actually got up to 14 degrees F today. God help those
poor folks in Atlanta.
All my best to you and yours.

Howdy men -
Digging around in the Home for Wayward Navy Radio Stuff last night, I
came across a M28 tape printer for 3/8" tape. It is the printing
mechanism (similar to LPE) mounted on a cast base with tape holder,
etc. (which looks the same as that inside a 28KTR). Last summer I sent
Don House one of these that was mounted on what looks like a 28RO
base.
The tag says 28LA which is a Bell number I suppose. Looks complete and
restorable.
No warranty expressed or implied. Offer void where prohibited by law.
Keep away from pets and small children. Do not bold, mend, findle, or
sputilate.

Usual terms & conditions - in the event of multiple inquiries priority
goes to people who have done me favors (or are noted for doing favors
for the group). Credit given for good intentions to restore and
operate. Also if you promise to pass it along on greenkeys when you
are tired of it.
Free shipping to the lower 48.
