Friends,
I couldn't find caster inserts for my 19 some 40 years ago so I made an
angle iron frame with open steel mesh to rest the feet. That prohibited the
rolling under any perforator but I still haven't got a roller base for a
perf anyway.
That said.
I found out the "hard way" that ordinary casters will NOT work on a wood
floor and maybe not on plastic or composite floors. The machine is so heavy
that the forces on a small, narrow high durometer or Bakelite caster will
compress, PERMANENTLY, the floor material. I had to run the diameter up to
2" and 3/4" wide , double wheel, soft durometer caster assembly so my oak
parquet didn't get tracks in it after rolling around the 19 to reach
connections and service the REC-30... No I don't know what the durometer is, sorry.
No problem if you have a concrete or ceramic tile floor...
