[GreenKeys] Slightly OT: CW keyer for a transmitter?

Thanks for your input.

I read part of the wheel code as "RIS"  But would an ID wheel be 
operated at such high speeds??

I'll check our Boehme  material at the AWA Museum when I'm there on Tuesday.

> Thanks, Duncan.  Unless the results of your research show otherwise I'd say it is indeed a Morse keyer.  The keying wheel almost has to be original given the machining it would take to create a new one.  It looks like the inboard wiper is in continuous contact while the outboard wiper is in intermittent contact, providing the keying.  But it must be a very short message indeed, "CQ" at most.
