I too, am a little later in life, from the 60's and 70's and used to use the 
journal as a nice source of material. Yes, it is pretty much out of date and 
I suspect people may buy it thinking it has relevance to todays digital 
modes.

The way our private manuals club works is that the club is the owner of the 
manuals and as long as you are a member you have the right to use the 
manuals on line. Obviously if you don't pay the dues you lose that 
privilege. Of course over the years you could have downloaded every pdf 
manual on the site but why when you can just get what you need when you want 
it.

Anyway it is old news and since I am in my mid sixties I won't be buying any 
cd's andy time soon.

I'm not sure that anybody except us old geezers cares about that ancient
publication.

I realized the other day that, since I was operating RTTY in the late
1950s, just about all the Real Pioneers are dead now so I can lies about
them without fear of correction.
