This is a very good  suggestion . Although power door openers  offer 
convenience
nothing beats the dead lock  on the door on the side of it with   a bolt  
though  the    hole.
 
Also although  you have the garage door alarmed  alarm the door  also 
between the garage and the  house  as well and...  keep it  loved and dead bolted 
as  well. even though  it  enters  the   garage from the house  pretend it 
is a door to the hostile  outdoors and  same alarm and locks as  you  would 
the front or  back door  of your house.
