[GreenKeys] Interesting Model 15 cover on ebay

Greenkeyers:

There is an Associated Press Model 15 RO available on ebay in Union
City, Michigan.  It's a basic RO without a table but it does have an
interesting cover.  There is a door on the front cover that flips
down.  There are pictures of the cover with the door open and with it
closed.  Does anyone know the purpose of this door?  Here's the link

There is another sale on ebay for a picture that shows several Model

Scroll down the page a bit and you will see a larger picture of the
cover in question.  Any idea what the door is for?
