I have finished installing a new shaft and gear in my teletype tt-100 and was wondering what the suggested grease would be for the motor gear area. I noticed the old grease was brown and my grease from my gm vehicle is red.
Not sure automobile grease would be proper and want to do this right. I am sure many have brought this up before but I did not see it in browsing the archive. 
Any suggestions on a particular grease to use and where to purchase it? Thanks in advance and thanks to all that have been helping.
