Dismantling question...

So it seems I will remove the four long, hex-type bolts and remove the entire base plate containing the page printer, keyboard and perforator. Pointing to one of the places I removed these long hex-type bolts. Am I approaching this dismantlement correctly?

I need to disconnect a shaft (main shaft?) going to the TD. I began to loosen a set screw in the location I am pointing to in the picture.

But then I got worried that the relative orientation of this shaft and the TD shaft might be important to keep things sync'd. Am I worried about nothing? Do I simple disconnect at this flex joint and put it back together later? Or do I need to make sure I know the orientation of this?

Thanks

Here are the stairs I need to get around. Too tight for the ASR to stay horizontal. Will have to go vertical..
