Ok guys here we are so far. I have the printer mech assy out of the whole and disassembled completely.
I have thoroughly cleaned the liquid rubber out of everything and got the sheet of paper out of the stainless steel feed housing. That took a soaking of laquer thinner and I was able to pull the sheet out. Then continue cleaning.
Now, for those that know the "A" model (the B and C are different to my knowledge) Is there one or two rollers that "Melt"
My reason for asking this is- The gold colored feed roller on the top that has the thumb knob, for sure is melted. It is coarsely textured and I was wondering if I absolutely have to have this rubber coated or will the "sand paper" like texture that it has grip the paper adequately?
I have shrink tube that will fit over this roller if that is necessary.
Next, there is one roller that is also gold colored like the above mentioned that is smooth that is mounted inside the stainless steel paper feed housing that is also gear driven on the same chain system. Was this roller originally rubber coated as well and does it need to be?
This is the time to decide if I should re rubber coat any of these parts because once I put it together, I do not intended to have to take it back apart.
I am really hoping it works after all this.
I need an ink tape cartridge too. Mine got covered in liquid goo. Where can I obtain such a thing? Also, which end feeds from - to on the ink, top to bottom or bottom to top?
Regards all
