[GreenKeys] RTTY contact - at last !

Yeah, auto CR and LF are great! Wish they made the option for 32's. I have never seen it, but it might exist.
I am running my present 32 on a board (no laughing!) as I dont have a base pan or cover. It gives me access to the manual CR and of course I have the platen knob for LF. I am very busy when I run RTTY. Could use another hand. I know, I should get a 28, but I have parts etc only for 32 and 33's so I get by. Some glass hams slow everything down when I tell them I have a real TTY. Some kind of slow mode that usually includes a CR and LF. Not sure what the mode is as I dont use any computer programs on RTTY.
On a slightly different subject, I once made a QSO when the DE operator was running split. My radio doesnt do split (Kenwood TS 520S), but I quickly moved the dial back and forth for the brief contact. Was fun one time anyway.

Not a problem if you have added auto carriage return and non-overline to your teleprinter.

Steve,
Some "glass" RTTY folks dont have the patience for us with a real TTY, but
ost who are running computer programs seem pleased to QSO with a real Teletype
achine. A novelty for them. Just not in a contest.

Except you always have to ask them to send CR/NL at the end of lines :)
