[GreenKeys] Casters for M28 Teletype equipment

When I had my shack in a room with hardwood floors,

I put a short piece of carpeting under the TTY's. Or, use

the interlocking rubber mats sold at Home Depot, etc.

I'm not sure why anyone would want wheels unless

the machines are going to be moved all of the time. Wheels

will definitely transmit noise and vibration.

My wife picked up some glides at the local home improvement store to place
under some of our larger furniture. They allow the furniture to slide
around on the hard work floor with not damage to the floor. They come in a
variety of sizes. For hard word there is a fiber glide. For carpet there
is a nylon glide. It might work for your 28.

I order one set of 2 inch and one set of 3 inch. I think the two inch
visually look better on the cabinet (the 3 inch look too large IMHO) but I
prefer the way it moves around with the 3 inch.

The wear pattern is interesting. The 2 inch has wear all the way across and
uses the entire width of the wheel (the wheel is flat across), while the
three inch has a 1/4 inch strip so it is only using a portion of the wheel
(the wheel is slightly v shaped).

Not sure which would be better for wood flors.

> Hi all. I am finally getting my new shack together and it is time to
purchase casters for my M28 KSR and ASR. What did you guys end up buying? I
think I read that some of you bought the 2" size with no brake. I am
looking at these two currently:

these would be better for the floor? Any opinions?

may be others too, I didn't look at everything in the catalog.
