Hi all!

An interesting topic!...

Back in the day, at CNCP Telecommunications up
here in Canada, the latest sequence for
Telex use was as follows:

Lttrs, CR, LF, (Followed by any "Unused character count")
as lttrs...followed by actual ansback msg...Sequence ended with CR, LF,
lttrs...For a total of 20 chars...

Here is an example...Lttrs, CR, LF, lttrs, lttrs, lttrs, DE (Space) VE
(Figs) 3, lttrs, HMQ, CR, LF, lttrs, for a 20
char count...

Over the years, I remember various beginning & ending
sequences, and as time passed, overseas cable companies
such as COTC and CIAL, insisted the sequence begin
with the lttrs, CR, LF etc.

Some European Telex numbers ended the sequence with
a + sign...

If I remember correctly, the Lorenz LO-15's used a 19
character drum, pbly the Teletype M15 version was
the same, Not sure abt the Siemens Telex machines,
or the M28ASR's equipped with a "Keyboard" type
ans back mech...Some were equipped with the newer
LABD type self contained distributor/drum set up
like the 32/33 which used 20 characters (Or less)
depending on the cycle selected...

Cheers to all!
