It had a been a rough year.
The Elves wanted a union.
Mrs. Clause had been in a bad mood for the past month.
The bank had screwed up his line of credit.
Two of the reindeer were pregnant.
Then on top of all this, an Angel dragged a Christmas tree into his office.
"Where do you want me to put this?"

And now you know why there's an angle on top of the tree.
