Right-- eg,
for TMS6011,

You'll have to check the gory details but in general, most of those
UARTs in that era were functionally equivalent. You will likely find
some difference in power supply requirements (some were MOS and require
-Vee supplies) and their overall performance (some only went to 25Kbaud
while others to 250K).
