Thanks  Sam!   Is the  weight  similar to a model  15?
Thanks   for  sharing the punch  cartoons... one thing  that was  whimsical 
was the   video phone  portrayed in  the cartoon I would have to guess this 
 was  from the   20's   since there is a  separate earpiece  and a  
separate  microphone used  for the telephone.  It  reminds  me of the same era as  
the Tome swift and the Photo Telephone    book.

It's a Creed Model 7 like this one from the BT museum  on 1996 (now 
closed) Not sure where that machine is now - might be at  Amberley 
working  museum.
