Hi Mark,
I know it no consolation to you, but last year I bought a TG-34-A keyer on the usual shopping channel and I was lucky that it came with a reel of tape.
I had to do some work on the machine like replacing the loudspeaker and all the metal cased Sprague capacitors but it now works well.

I bought a manual from Fair Radio and it appears that the whole kit comprised 14 tape reels and a load of spares.
I cant be certain which reel I have, as it has lost a bit from the beginning but from checking the decode of the lessons in the manual, it is most likely to be reel 2.

It all came in a crate that totalled 73 pounds. There must be a lot of reels out there at one time.

73

  Though I'd try here,

I have a TG-34-A keyer that need some the paper tapes, any of you collectors have one that you are willing to part with?

PS: the model 28 is running great, thanks to all of you
