The degreaser from Sid Harvey's will also disintegrate clear plastic but is OK used carefully on a rag and then on the 33 cover for extra tough black marks. Also good for internal cleaning mostly on a rag and cleaning the distributor faceplate, etc.
For 33 cover cleaning I recommend your thumbnail first, especially on paint, then 409, then the Sid Harvey's degreaser on black marks, then the 409 one more time. Lastly a damp cloth to remove the 409 residue. I have used Turtle Wax on a cover after the above and it works good as well to shine up the cover.

PB Blaster will melt a styrofoam cup in a NY minute…it’s good stuff, but very caustic to plastics of all types. BE really CAREFUL!

I use fast drying degreaser from Sid Harvey's, a parts supplier for HVAC and more.
Dont spray it on any plastic blocks or contact blocks.
The brake cleaner works, but dont get it on the 33 cover or any plastic parts as it will melt them.
